Dua Lipa, an English musician and singer, was born in London on 22 August 1995. After having worked as a model and songwriter, she was able to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album reached number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles including Be The One I.D.G.A.F and New Rules, the U.K. number-one single New Rules which reached number six in the United States. Lipa was awarded an award called the Brit Award in the year 2018, as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is recognized as platinum in several countries. Dua Lipa, birthed to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. Dua Lipa is Bosnian origin via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors can be traced back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Both of her grandparents were historians. Lipa has a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Her father, a leader and guitarist of the Kosovan band Oda was a major influence on her music. She grew up listening to music with her dad at home, including songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was 5 years old. In the year she turned nine years old, Lipa started to sing in her school, the Sylvia Young Theater School.
