Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. She has a mother who is English and her father is Nigerian. She grew up on a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. While at the academy, she performed in several stage productions such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she has been a guest star for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Her success has led her to be cast in Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a part of the comedic How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her stage credits includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with her drama The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes prior to being removed from The CW. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe appeared in all episodes in the series' initial two seasons as an regular. In May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will quit the show due to her guest appearance on the opening episode for its third season. In the TV series Salem the actress played Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was a character on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey during winter. Ashley couldn't walk, however she could dance. In the end, as she grew older She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance immediately. Ashley competed in ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. She won the top individualist in all the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
